Parent Coaching Workshops
Parentalk develop initiatives with exceptional employers committed to supporting mums and dads in the workplace. We work with organisations that value this key sector of their workforce and demonstrate this commitment. As an employer, you will recognise that by supporting parents as they deal with family issues, you strengthen the employer/employee relationship and build a happy, motivated, effective and committed workforce with a 'can do' attitude. This is an ideal opportunity for you to establish your reputation as an employer that parents positively want to work for.
Parentalk, in association with The Parent Coaching Academy, delivers interactive workshops for organisations in the public, corporate and voluntary sectors with the aim of helping working parents make the best of both worlds. The sessions tackle the top practical and emotional problems that working parents face and offer tools and techniques to help them make the most of parenthood.
We tailor specific programmes according to each company’s needs. Popular titles include:
- How to Succeed as a Working Parent - the Best of Both Worlds
- Feel Great - Not Guilty - About Being a Working Parent
- Parent Taming - Effective Alternatives to Shouting and Other Everyday Parent Tantrums
- 7 Steps to Creating Confident Children
- I'm a Teenager Get Me Out of Here - Effective Strategies to Support your Teenager Through GCSEs
- The 7 Skills of Highly Successfully Working Dads
The workshops last for approximately one hour and are popular as lunchtime sessions.
The Parent Coaching Sessions are delivered by Lorraine Thomas, the Chief Executive of The Parent Coaching Academy and author of The 7-Day Parent Coach (Vermilion 2005). She delivers seminars on behalf of the national charity Parentalk for the UK’s leading employers including Morgan Stanley & Co. International Ltd, HSBC, Barclays International and Disney.
