Parent Coaching: Biography

Lorraine Thomas is the UK’s leading Parent Coach as featured in The Sunday
Times, The Daily Mail, The Independent and ITV’s This Morning. She specialises
in supporting parents as they make major decisions about family life and
motivating them to achieve their goals. She has worked for 20 years in the
national media, corporate and voluntary sectors.

Lorraine Thomas with her children Joshua and HollyLorraine has three children, Joshua aged 4, Holly aged 1 and a 16 year-old-stepson, Ben. She is married to Jerry, a broadcaster and writer.

She is a working mother who is well aware of the challenges facing all parents and she knows from her own personal experience how Coaching can transform people’s lives. She gave up a career as a successful television executive to become a Parent Coach and establish the UK’s first Parent Coaching Academy.

Lorraine has a first-class Honours Degree in Education from Cambridge and is accredited with Distinction by The Coaching Academy. She is a qualified teacher who has worked extensively with parents. She is also committed to contributing to the voluntary sector.

 

Parentalk at Work is entirely dedicated to providing a space for practising and swapping ideas about that trickiest of balancing acts - the one between work and home. We hope that you'll agree that it carries on the Parentalk tradition of providing no frills, common sense, practical, information and advice.
