According to a DfES document 'Impact of Parental Involvement
in Children's Education', research has shown 'conclusively that
parental involvement does make a difference to pupils' engagement
and their achievement and the evidence indicates that parental involvement
benefits students, parents, teachers and schools.'
From helping children with the transition period from primary to
secondary school, to holding events for parents in partnership with
schools, to talking about everything from early years to teens,
to producing relevant and accessible resource material, Parentalk
seeks to help schools in the many different areas of parental involvement. |
